Dancing With The Sky

I built a tiny house

Inside of my mind

I locked all the doors

And I shut all the blinds

I dug a whole inside my heart

And buried all my secrets

So that nobody could see me

And I couldn’t feel a thing

And I made it through life

And did alright

And people thought they saw me

And I seemed just fine

Then one day I heard a knock

And I looked through the blinds

And I saw a pretty girl

With these pretty blue eyes

And her body was green

And she called herself sky

And she said she wanted to play with me

But I always hide

And I said maybe later

I’m busy today

But I watched her walk away

And was forever changed

And I started dreaming

Dreaming of a life

Full of colors

And full of light

And I started dreaming

Where I was wild and free

And I danced with the sky

And I wrote one song

And that’s all it took

And I sang it with passion

And the walls all shook

And my house began to fall

And crumbled to the earth

Until there was nothing left

Nothing but dirt

And the secrets

I buried Buried so deep

Burst from the ground

And grew into a tree

And I looked all around me

And I couldn’t believe

The sky was infinite

And everything was green

And now all I hear is music

And a pretty girl that sings
